Girls Dress Patterns by Anna Vickery

Hello hello, 

Anna here and I’m very excited to be introducing my new range of Sewing Patterns For Children’s Clothing! These are available in printed form from Millie Moon shops and as a download in the Crafty Alex shop. 

They’ve been a long time coming…..I’ve been working with Millie Moon for over a year now and I’ve often been asked when people see my little dresses in the shops ‘Do you have a pattern for that?’ or during workshops ‘Can I buy a pattern?’ and the answer is now YES!!

My mission was to create an easy to follow, multi sized range that was simple to sew at home and that you can buy all the lovely materials you need to make at Millie Moon. 

There’s 3 styles to fit ages 1-5 to start with - a very cute Party Dress with a full skirt, a versatile sleeveless Pinafore Dress and an A-line T Shirt Dress with built in sleeves.

They’ve been a challenge to put together, I had to use my, somewhat rusty and self taught, CAD experience and call upon some of my lovely friends for their help - huge thanks to Chris at Wing’s Art and Design Studio and Aran at Latitude Photography for their skills, and everyone at Millie Moon for their enthusiasm and patience.

I hope you enjoy making the patterns as much as I’ve enjoyed putting them together - all feedback would be much appreciated, I’d love to see photos of your finished dresses and hear your suggestions for the next additions to the range.

Please note…….All my patterns are clearly marked Not For Commercial Use, this means they are for home use only by Mummys, Aunties, Nannys etc making for their friends and family NOT for business or any other monetary gains/sale. 

 I’m also aiming to cover making all the little dresses as workshops at Millie Moon, starting with the Pinafore Dress on 9th February in Keynsham and 27^th April in Frome - these workshops include all materials too, bargain. x

Patterns - Peplum Bodice Top

Now available as a pattern download is the most fabulous peplum bodice. 

This bodice can be made in a few different ways from the simplest bandeau bodice to a strappy summer top to wear on the beach or a stunning cocktail bodice complete with peplum to wear with skinny jeans or a pencil skirt.

We made out sample in a black and white star print quilting cotton from Millie Moon and trimmed the edges with satin.

As always this pattern is very simple and easy to print and use on just five pieces of paper and there's no taping pages together either! All of the photographed instructions and a list of materials are included in the download. Don't forget we have a sale on Patterns until 1st December!

Patterns - The classic T Shirt Pattern

Time for another new pattern available for download. This is the super useful and versatile classic t-shirt pattern. 

The pattern comes in three graded sizes and can be made in stretch jersey or woven cottons and silks. We made our sample in a pretty white embroidered cotton with a black satin trim to highlight the neckline and keyhole back.

This is a great pattern for making little luxe t shirts in lace or silk too, try adding a collar for a smart day top or embellishing the cuffs.

The downloadable pattern comes with all three sizes and photographed instructions on how to sew the t shirt. Very easily prints on 5 pieces of A4 paper. Purchase from our Etsy shop here. 

Patterns - Six Collar Pattern Download

Introducing our new set of collar patterns available for instant download via pdf. In the pack you get six collar designs, from the pretty scallop edge to the classic Peter Pan collar and tailored gentleman's collar.
Also included is the pattern for a collar stand so you have the option of making a traditional tailored collar or a ribbon tie collar in a raw edged fabric like leather or our glitter.

New PDF Patterns - Cravat and bow tie set

Our newest sewing pattern set of bow ties and cravats is now in store available for instant download.
This set consists of a self tie classic bow tie design, a clip on double bow tie design and a classic Tootal style cravat.
We used Liberty London Tana lawn to make ours with and they look rather dapper if we do say ourselves. They make fabulous presents for the proper gentlemen in your life and it's a great set for weddings when you want to use your favourite print or colour.
Just cut a simple 20cm square for your pocket to finish the look perfectly.
